I plan to a buy a Toyota Camry V6 SE in the future, but I do not like the front bumper. Is it possible to mod the front bumper as pictured. I am deciding between a 6 generation Toyota Camry V6 SE vs 2 generation Lexus is350. I like the FWD on the Camry for winter and rain, and and Lexus IS350 for performance. If the the American Camry look like the Toyota Aurion front bumper, I would not need to change the front bumper. I hate the "dip" in the Toyota Camry front grill. Is it possible to cut or shave off the dip, and get a custom mesh black grill to replace the Toyota emblem dip? How much would it cost? I would get a Toyota Camry V6 SE, but because of the Toyota emblem dip, I am favoring the Lexus IS350.

I think the redesign for the IS350 will be for 2012 assuming a 6 year cycle, but how is the Lexus IS350 RWD for Michigan winter weather? The reason I am considering the Toyota Camry SE V6 is for the FWD traction during weather season. Which is better for winter snow season, Lexus IS350 with snow tires or Toyota Camry SE V6 FWD with snow tires?

I know I can get the Lexus IS250 AWD 2.5 L 6 cylinder, a weak Toyota Camry V4 2.4L, but the Lexus IS250 is slower than a Toyota Camry SE V6. I plan to keep the car for about 10 years, and a four cylinder Toyota Camry or Lexus IS250 AWD will lose more power as the car gets older then a V6. For example, I have owned a 150,000 mile 1991 Toyota Camry and a 200,000 1994 Toyota Camry V6, the 200,000 1994 Toyota Camry V6 can drive up a steep 1 mile incline, but the 150,000 mile 1991 Toyota Camry V4 has a hard time driving up a 30 degree incline.

i would go with the IS, the camry is not even up to par with fit and finish and luxury amenities, if you can afford the lexus then i'd say go for it, the IS250 AWD isnt bad either, its not fast, but its definetly not slow also, i find it easier to maneuver in the snow with RWD during winter than it is with FWD, with RWD the car will go wherever you want it to, you just need to play around with the throttle and counter steer, so FWD is not necessarily safer than RWD.

Damn I don't see why people like to ask for bad comparisons.. Of course IS350 would kick camry's @ss in terms of performance, feel, quality of cabin and features.

Maybe I should make some threads asking "What's better Aurion or BMW M5" "Camry or Mercedes CLS AMG 63" :Bruce:

Damn. Did you read the first topic? I did not ask to compare. I don't see why people do not read the first post. I asked, if it was possible to mod the Toyota Camry front bumper or if a body kit on the market exist. Of course, Toyota Camry will kick the Lexus IS350 during the winter months because Toyota Camry has a better traction with FWD during rain & snow.

When driving at normal speeds, I agree with Kotik that RWD has better traction than FWD. But all this is moot because traction control is available for both cars. Still though, I would rather have a RWD car than a FWD car even if both had traction control.

The Kotiks of the world have feelings and opinions that are of course are 180 degrees off of the facts....
