Hello, I have Camry SE 3.5L v6 ( Saudi Arabia ).

I recently bought a used radio receiver/screen from eBay and just installed it yesterday in a shop. It is working great if I say so. However, I faced an issue that when I put gear in R to go back, there is nothing showing on the screen even though that every cable from my original receiver was connected on the new one ( No cables were left behind ) and also my reverse camera is from factory. Another issue that happened is that time has disappeared and Yes I tried to going to settings but can not do anything.

The main reason that I bought my new receiver from USA is to have CarPlay enabled. After checking the VIN number of the original car that I got the new receiver from, It says that it is CarPlay combatable. It did not work for me and I have been trying to update my system and was not able to get the update file.

I am aware that my receiver has a green port and the new one does not have. It is not used in my car from factory like there is nothing plugged or to be plugged in it.
Current system version is 1008

Everything else is just working perfectly like touch Bluetooth, radio... considering my previous one was not working (completely black screen). I am open to any solution Ideas but please do not say buy a new one because I can't afford that.

Please excuse me for any mistakes. This is my first post and I really NEED help.
  • attached a photo of the back of eBay receiver
  • attached a photo of the back of my original receiver
  • attached a photo of the system ModelID (see time is missing)
  • attached a PDF with the eBay receiver's car specs from Toyota. ( The VIN was provided with from seller )

Looks like you got a different unit from your original. You either had the audio plus or premium unit and bought a base unit. Your unit and the ebay unit's plugs are in different positions and you are missing the green plug.
Your original unit has a green plug while the one you got from ebay doesn't. Did your original have a connection in there?

Unplug everything and reconnect. Might be one of the wires in the harness got loose, so i would also push the wires into harness.

Maybe going into the clock settings, you can't set it manually? or delete personal settings to restart the unit.

I just noticed that my reply did not get posted and I believe it is due to a link of a video that I have uploaded it to explain the clock problem. However, The green plug in my original head unit did NOT have a connection plugged in it so I don't think it is causing the issue. I also think that every cable is connected correctly because I got it installed in a shop. As for the clock problem, I can NOT press or do anything in clock settings It is like I can see the settings but can't do anything because I don't have an access or like it is turned off somehow. Thank you for your reply and interest in my problem.
