My kids took my 2013 Venza out of town. They parked it and when returning it wouldn't start. They tried jumping it and nothing. I had them take a video. The maintenance light came on, but it is time for an oil change and tire rotation.
Anyone have any thoughts? It has been towed to a dealership, but I am super anxious about what it could be.
If anyone wants to see the video, I can send it.
Thank you.

It almost looks electrical. The video they sent shows everything flickering on the dash. The headlights too. I am freaking out though. They somehow didn't get a tow truck to come either because they dropped the ball. So now it didnt get there until late and after hours. I hope ots not anything too bad. But most likely something huge because that's how much my luck sucks right now. Lol.let me know if you would like to look at the video.

I'm not sure if you have a keyed ignition switch, or push button start, but I just had something similar happen on an old 1999 Honda I have. Lights flickering, on dash, and everywhere else. Car would shut off randomly. It was as if somebody was flicking a light switch on and off as fast as they could. The problem turned out to be the ignition switch itself. I bought an aftermarket switch for 80 bucks and replaced it myself. When I pulled it out and took apart the switch to have a look around, there was plenty of evidence of arcing and burning around the contacts.

I would be surprised at a 2013 having an ignition switch problem so early in it's life, but I suppose it can happen. Usually tends to happen earlier if the car is driven with a bunch of stuff hanging off the keychain. The weight tends to mess with the switch internals.

Thank you for posting this! I'm having the same issue with my 2016 Corolla. I know this was a while ago - do you remember what this was? Thank you so much!
