I titned the 2 front windows 15% to match the rears the windshield has a 5% strip and a bi zenon headlight kit 8000k. im waiting for the lock pick kit to be released, i would also like to add a k&n airfilter or a cold air peice but what i would really LOVE to do is a sway bar kit if i can find one.

Who did the window tint? I've been thinking about it, but wonder about the longevity of tinting. Last time I had tinting done was about 15 years ago with 3M tint. I assume the technology/material has improved since then.

 

We can not tint very dark here ... so my fronts are darker than normal, but do not match the back.

i live in n.y. where not aloud to tint the front glass windows either so if a cop really wants to bother me they can write me a ticket. As for the quality of the tint, u want to look for a company that deals with tint from a company called Lummar, then you wantto check work of the people who will be putting on the tint and them questions like do they go all the way to the top edge of the window and my guy also takes off the door panel to make sure the tint goes down well past the felt seal. I would also ask that is if they are going to do a back window for you if the shrink the tint in order to do a one piece back window or will they do 2 or 3 pieces if they dont know how to shrink it do do a 1 piece then look for another shop. Now after you find a shop and get the work done you want to make surethat you dont use a glass cleaner that contains any kind of amonia for it will over time discolor the timt making it look purple

 

Here they would require you to take it off each year for the annual inspection or you would not pass (though I have heard it depends on the shop doing the inspection). I understand why they have a limit, but I also think it should be darker for the sun/heat we have.

 

the key it to get the inspection done at a shop you've been dealing with for awhile at least thats what i've been doing for years.

 

True, that has worked. Its the State Police that usually bug a guy when tinting is to dark, usually how works in all the States. City driving pretty safe if tinting by chance is a little darker.

 

In Ohio, our limit is 50% on the front windows, so it's not really worth it to have deep tint on the back and light on the front.... doesn't look very uniform. Of course, they don't really care until you get pulled over for something else.

 

Any night pics of your HIDs against a wall?? I want to see your cut off.

 

It's going to be way off and blinding other driver. I really don't like people putting these aftermarket bulbs into the housing that is not designed for it.

Accident waiting to happen, and usually they illuminate worse as well.

 

Ill get some night pics of the hid's this week i also did piaa led 194 bulbs around the rear license plate.

- Did you compare it to others?
- Does it interfere with the lift gate opening?
- Did you secure it to factory cross rails or buy a stonger after market set?
- Do you hear any wind noise or feel buffeting in cross winds?
- What do you haul in it and does it keep your gear dry?
