Our outside temperature sensor has gone all wonky. Sometimes it reads the correct temperature, sometimes it shows a 60 or 70° difference from the actual temperature. This is obviously a big problem in Arizona as we’re hitting triple digits. Any suggestions on how to fix? Thank you 😊

The Ambient Temp Sensor (part number 88790-06020) is located behind the front grill. It is attached near the radiator support bracket (space between the grill and the radiator, just lower than the Toyota emblem attached on the center support).
I would check for a bad ground if it's intermittent. It would be a shame to replace the sensor and have the same issue with the new one. Of course finding a bad ground can be very difficult if it's not right at the device or if there is corrosion inside of a harness or connector.
