New member to Toyota Nation. I need resources to determine if a 2006 Avalon Limited engine can be used in a 2009 Camry LE chassis. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Anything's possible with enough time and money... Does the 2009 currently have the I4 or the V-6? The 2006 Avalon only comes with the V6. Transmission in the 2009 would have to be compatible with the new 2006 engine, as would the ECM, Sensors, and the Engine wiring harness at the very minimum. Is there a particular reason that you don't want to repair the blown head gasket? Are you after more power?

The V6 is the same used in the V6 camry, but usually Id prefer to find a motor FROM the specific type of car I am placing it in due to some chassis / electronic / wiring differences. etc..

The block / heads from the Avalon though are all likely the same as the one from the V6 Camry model. Youd have to double check opn things like sensor palcement etc.. as a 3 year difference as wel las the model difference may have different revisions or provisions for accesories and sensors...
