2004 J-VIN Camry LE 4-cyl auto
Error: P0724 - Brake Switch "B" Circuit High
Got this code a few times over past couple weeks. Easy enough to clear, and brake lamps working OK with one notable exception I pointed out in another thread: The high-mount brake lamp is at constant low intensity when ignition on, and lights up bright when brakes engaged. Others have suggested that there is a grounding fault somewhere, and I suspect this to be correct but have not had time to track it down yet.
QUESTION: Could this error code be triggered by same grounding fault that keeps HMSL illuminated and has cruise control thinking brake is engaged, or could it actually be a bad switch that is causing these symptoms?
