Were those all genuine Toyota plugs by the dealership? That's odd. How's MPG and oil consumption?

 

Yep. No issues with MPG, nothing with oil consumption as far as I’m aware. Is there something I would notice if there were?

Could this be a leaking fuel injector?

 

Just a curiosity, what were the conditions of the plugs? Was the insultor cracked? Was there a gap issue? Are the tips of the plugs dark?

 

Hoping to get that answer tommorrow. Some more context:

In the original issue at 61K, they moved the coil from cylinder 3 to 1 to test it. The misfire stayed at 3.
Now the misfire is at cylinder 1. How likely is it that this could be a bad coil causing the spark plugs to fail?

 

Recently noticed spark plugs not lasting as long also. I believe the specimens have all been oem. There are a lot of fakes going around…

 

After I changed my spark plugs in my 2018 Camry LE non-hybrid at 73,000 miles for first time, I noticed it responded better to throttle inputs and it doesn’t hunt for gears while shifting. Replaced with oem denso plugs and was a big improvement

 

Sounds good. Plan on taking it into an independent shop I trust to have them take a look at it.

How many miles between oil changes, and are you still using 0W-16? Misfires may well be caused by your exhaust valve lash adjuster assemblies (hydraulic valve lifters).
