Do you know any tricks to keep it shut? I might be okay to just keep it shut. I rarely open it anymore.

 

Wide black Flex tape along the edge thats black on the inside with it closed?

 

Here's what I came up with for a temporary fix in case anyone else has this problem:

Loosen the window screw and turn it 180 degrees, then use a zip tie around the broken part and wrap it around the hinge, like so:

After haircut:

 

it helps when your next to a project, better than my tape idea!

 

Yeah, might just leave it if it doesn't cause any problems. Should have used a black zip tie though.

 

My latch became loose due to an anchor screw backing out which made it inoperable for closing and locking. I just pushed it closed firmly and it stayed shut and against the seal and appeared to be locked so I didn't worry about it for a few days until I fixed the loosened latch screw!

 

I wonder if that bracket that attaches to the glass could be made from metal...

I am now carrying extra zip ties in my T100.

 

Ive got a question for this same... My hinges for this same window have become loose and allow the window to rattle, how do I access those hinges under the pillar plastic to tighten them? What's the order of removal to access them?

I replaced the quarter window latch today. It was very simple. On my T100 there was just a little cover over the screws that popped off with 2 screws plus 1 screw for the window.

I found an aftermarket latch on Amazon for less than any dealer. It's not listed as latch for the T100, but for an earlier model Toyota (Hilux?) but it works! Only comes in gray though. I spotted it later on ebay for even less but shipping from China and I didn't want to wait. Hopefully that will do it for a while.
