Radiator and AC/Compressor fan cycling on and off every 15 seconds

Hi All,

Hoping to get some expert advice on my issue or non-issue I'm having with my 2010 Highlander.
Both radiator fan and AC/compressor fan cycles on and off every 15 seconds. I do not have my interior fan or AC on only my engine running. Thanks in advance.

The function of the AC isn't just to cool, it also removes humidity from the air. Use it all the time here in -30 C weather.

thanks Under51, thats where i was going with that.
not sure of the cycle rate for the defrost setting but, it does make sense that it would not be on all the time since you dont actually want to cool the car down.

When you turn on your defrost the AC turns on whether you want it or not

Just to clarify. When I turn on the defroster my A/C is off. So just the fan is turned on and it starts to cycle.

Thanks for replying. I did some more testing and it appears to cycle when I turn on my defroster regardless of vehicle temperature. Once I turn off defroster it stops. Any idea? Thanks
