Slight toc toc noise from rear wheels when turning sharply in both direction. Noise is not present going straight or when vehicule is not pushed to the limit. I checked rear wheel bearings for play and noise and they are fine.Drums and shoes are 2 year old. Can the rear suspension be causing that or a bushing somewhere? Vehicule has only 90k miles

Thanks! Can the tires touch the wheel well when the car is leaning on sharp turn? I have new winter tires 185-r65 14 on OEM rims and I don't remember hearing this noise with my summer tires. The only thing I can think of is the drums touching the backing plate channel because of rust build-up or a rust lip forming at the edge of the drum. I will try to post a sound clip or youtube video. Thank in advance

It could also be parking brake related, sometimes the brake cables rust inside the sheath and you get a parking brake that either won't fully engage or still engages, but the secondary brake shoes in the drum get stuck semi-engaged and wear down against the drum over time.
Yes,I should get the parking brake adjusted because the handle is way too high when its starting to hold the car.I cannot do the work myself because its -10 around here. Car started on second try this morning..it never did this in 18 years.Maybe the battery is getting weak or some other problems. I will post a sound clip when the temperature gets a little warmer. Thanks again!

Pull the drums and grind off the rust build up on the lips of the brake drums and in the channels of the brake drums, odds are there's a chunk of rust hitting the backing plate when the whole assembly deflects slightly during cornering.
Thanks! Rust is a real problem around here. I will check it out and let you know

Noise is definitely coming from the back wheels because I had my grandson sitting in the rear seat to confirm this.Noise comes and goes depending on weather condition.I could not replicate the noise yesterday because it got a little warmer. Can cold weather shrink metal parts a little bit?
