I have a 92 Corolla (base DX), I’ve been trying to remove the back seats rear cushion to get to the fuel filter but I can’t figure out how to get the seat out.

Just so you know the fuel filter on these cars is located behind the left front tire, down low in the engine compartment. All lifting the rear seat cushion gets you is access to the fuel level unit (these cars have two sending units). The fuel pump unit is the one you have to drop the tank to get to. Sorry.
Ditto^^ But beware that changing the engine bay fuel filter may be a hornet’s nest of problems. Watch some YT videos about breaking the hard line connections, specifically the one on the bottom. Good luck!
I normally just grab the front of the seat cushion on one side then lift, and repeat for the other. It has to "pop out" of the clip, then you can slide it forward and out of the rear clip that holds the rear of the cushion down. I hope this helps.
