My tailgate handle broke a while back and I just got a new one in the mail. So I go to replace it, and the handle is covered in rhino lining! I can't take out the screws, when I apply to much pressure I start just stripping them.

So, how do you get out a tailgate handle, that has been sprayed with rhino lining? (Why would they need to spray there?)

You might try picking up a cheap engraver, and use it (carefully!) to carve out the phillips slots.
The one clearest in teh pic is a hex head as well as phillips. If that's the case for all, you may also want to try using a dremel tool to clean up the sides so you can use a socket. I'd try a wire wheel first, if it were me.
Have you call rhino lining & asked for their input? They have probably done this to someone before, and may have suggestions as well.
