Rev engine from under hood (idle chirping noise)

On a 2005 Matrix is it possible for me to control the throttle via a cable under the hood, like on old cars where you could pull an item to increase the rpm?

Problem is I am trying to diagnose a problem (1100 rpm chirp noise) and I need to control the throttle while listening with a stethoscope. Any way to control the throttle? Pull a cable somewhere? I can't find it, and even if I could find it, would it break anything, unlike old cars where it was easier and straightforward?

I don't want to require two people for the job because the noise is very intermittent and goes away when you think you can recreate it. I pretty much have to do this as soon as I hear the noise in a parking lot myself.

On the old cars there was a round item the cable hooked up to that you could pull yourself to increase RPMs. I'm afraid of doing this on a matrix since it is newer technology and can't even find where the cable/throttle comes in or if it is accessible. Thanks.

(also, any idea what an idle chirp would be at 1100rpm -1300rpm that goes away as soon as you go past about 1200-1300 rpm and is only a chirp, when engine hot). Replaced entire tensioner and belt. Not solved yet. Thinking water pump, power steering, or clutch.

It's drive-by-wire throttle control. An electric servo opens the throttle according to pedal position sensor... You can put a brick or something on the floor to push the pedal slightly, or prop it with a stick against edge of adjusted seat.

It would help to hear it before I can speculate.

Good tip, it is intermittent enough that it goes away sometimes if you hold the throttle. Hopefully I can get it to make noise constantly, but it usually goes away. Stick or brick is a good idea, I remember using a brick or piece of wood to jam the peddle when I was a kid, but forgot this trick.

Ideally I want to control the throttle on demand but that would be difficult without some kind of rope and pully contraption or a electronic piston that pushes the peddle, which would be difficult to construct (not even sure how to build it or how it would work).
