Running wheel spacers on a 00 taco

I want to run 2.5 or 2.25 inch wheel spacers all the way around but my question is the locking hubs up front can you get to them to lock and unlock them with the spacers installed. I am new to the yota world I just recently went from a crew cab duramax to a reg cab taco

2.25" ? That's very wide, why do you need them that wide?

you may be better off getting into some rock crawler steel wheels with 2.5" backspace... that should set your stance pretty wide...

depending on the lift and the tire size though, you could end up rubbing the tires on the pinch weld or the front lower bumper valance on full turns and articulation...
