I'm thinking about doing it. I'm taller than most people at 6' 3" and it would make it a lot more comfortable, but I'd be paying $225 for about $10 worth of welded sheet metal. Has anyone used these and are they worth it? I tried looking for knock offs, but it seems like the market is a bit small for these.

Make sure any option you get has strength to last the life of your car. My friend bought one for his Civic, and he T-Boned a smaller car at a four way and his seat extenders failed to stop his seat. He was fine, but had he been going faster he would've went through the wind screen.

Since my comment about this was deleted,

Solution is easy, sell it and get a 1st or 2nd Gen Scion XB
haha. Yeah, it's funny, when I was looking at replacing my last car, someone on this very forum told me to go for a gen 1 xB because it was spacious and would return the same mileage. Honestly, I just couldn't get past the looks and I think the Corolla's interior is a bit nicer, too. Also, they had to drop that car down to a 1.4 L I think to get the same gas mileage as my Corolla with its 1.8 L.

...when you dont have a passenger you can be all the way back and comfortable. When you do have a passenger (usually minimal for most drivers) you can adjust it so they have as much room as they like.
Thanks for the info. I'll wait for a discount code or something and then I'll probably just go for it. Tired of being cramped when I don't have to be. Wish the Corolla had a telescoping wheel...I'm really going to be reaching for that wheel now. ;)

I have a set on my 09 Corolla & I love them. They are very heavy duty, look & feel stronger then the OEM rails. You will loose some rear seat leg room only if you extend the seat farther back. I love putting the seat farther back & set the CC when on long trips.
