When my '91 4cyl is in park, I can hear the shift lock solenoid switching back and forth randomly, sometimes rapidly. I usually need the shift lock override button to shift out of park, but occasionally it will be unlocked.
Any diagnostic tips? I can't find the shift lock solenoid in any of the circuit schematics in my Haynes manual. Because it's "spasming" instead of stuck, I'm thinking it's a sensor or computer problem rather than the solenoid itself.
