I'm pretty sure you can do more than 8" on the front. 9.5" rear sounds about right though with out extreme fender modifications.

Get a dummy account setup and use Facebook Container or Incognito, most popular ad block like AdGuard should block FB/IG tracking.

Exactly, it is only for looks.
Front drive has a tendency to understeer, so wider tires in the back actually will make understeer more exaggerated.
But I do have better grip with the Michelins.

 

What are your offsets? I have a set of Work VS-SS that's been on my back burner for years and I want to finish it for my hatchback. I wanted 4 inch lips and 5 inch barrels, so my spec would be 18x9 et33.

 

The offset is +45 on the wheels.

 

I have a 2020 corolla sedan stock hight looking to put 18x9.5 rims with 35 offset with a 225/40r18 on both the front rear but not sure if they'll Fit without any modifcations??? Has anyone Ran this set up on the new corollas???

 

I think you are close to what Son is running. Should be fine with the stretched tire.

I'm running 245's on a 9" with no issue. And 255's can be ran with a tiny bit of fender liner rub on harsh bumps or hard cornering.

I am looking at some wheels that are 18x9.5, it would be a square set up. is this too wide for the front? These are the wheels I am looking at. They're Motegi MR136 18x9.5 +45 offset

 

Do they still make these tho? Last I checked they were out of production. Cheap rims but heavy.

 

They're on Amazon for around $85 a piece. Seems like a good deal especially since these are flow formed.

I really hate to pass up a good deal, but I think to get the right height id have to run a 225/40 or 235/40 tire and that might give the stretched look and am not a fan. I think i'll wait 'till some 18" OEM takes-offs come along that are actually affordable.

 

I am planning to stretch my budget for now and keep the stock 18" OE, if I am going to get H&R spacers, what width do you think it would work without tires sticking out?

 

Measure the distance you want, then find a spacer to match.

 

Ended up not rebuilding my Work VS-SS and buying Work Emotion T7R instead. Went with 18x9.5 et38 on 255/35/18 tires. This is probably the most aggressive you can go without stretching tires and fender work.

 

Those VS-SS are sweet wheels, had them for my IS300. Any pics of the new ones?

On my 22’ Corolla hatchback i was able to fit 18x9.5 38mm offset on 265 35r 18 continental extreme contacts all around without rubbing at all. U can def fit fatter tires on this car no issues unless ur completely slammed ride hight wise. If u drop the car like 2 inches you will be fine
