Really like all the mods, especially the carbon fiber engine cover. As far as the quote from the dealer goes...you mean they will be installing your megan springs?

Valid point, but I wouldn't be too concerned - it's a cover not a heat shield. If the plastic isn't melting, I don't see the vinyl having a problem, and if the engine gets hot enough to melt the plastic, you have more concerns than the vinyl covering on it.

 

how's the megan springs work? I'm tryna buy that too.

 

I would take the dip off the lights. I'm just not a fan of matte lights. I like em glossy. But other than that, good job!

I had no idea you had to take the bumper off for a cai... That's nuts!

I have the blue emblems also but I like the look the fogs have. How Did You Do that? Just plastidipped? And do they still work at noght?

Yea i just plati-dipped them. They don't shine bright at all to be honest. I will replace them along with the taillights when I can find them. I mostly did all my plasti-dip to see how the colors would look.

As far as the engine cover It looks the same. I did a trip with it on and it never got hot or melted .|


My springs get put on in the tomorrow morning. Will upload pictures after I get off. After those depending on how stiff it gets I might order the TRD sway bar to fight the horrible understeer this car has.

 

May I asked where and how much did you purchase the CF engine cover? Thanks in advance

So far very happy with these springs from megan racing. The right is rougher but I enjoy it more. I can feel the road. It holds into corners a lot better than I thought it would.
Definitely ordering my read sway soon though.

Can you please let me know if the shop recommended alignment bolts or a camber kit? Megan racing informed me that I should purchase aftermarket shocks and struts.

 

The car looks good with the springs on it. I'm in GA (Atlanta area) too and have been holding out on getting springs cuz I dont know where to take them to get them installed. Where did you take it to have them installed?

 

I didn't buy struts or shocks. I just went to the same dealership I bought the car at and they put them on. The aliment job isn't 100% but it's close enough. It cost me a pretty to put them on.

 

Looks good. I bet that it can top out at over 160MPH now and do a 1/4 mile in less then 9 seconds.
ever since I installed the racing stripes on mine, I've noticed a HUGE improvement in performance.

 

Nice! I noticed a 23hp increase when I installed my chrome TRD badge in the front grill!
