Hi,

I need new spark plugs, I have a 1ZZ-FE engine and ordered DENSO SK16R11 ones as it is recommended in the manual. They take some time to deliver at O'reillys. I'm wondering if I can just use any of the ones that are labeled as fitting on the O'reilly webpage or should I go with exactly those from the manual (the NGK IFR5A11 don't seem to be available anymore)?

The spark plug gap in the manual says 0.043, the ones on the O'reilly website recommended for my car however say 0.044, I guess it's a rounding error?

There's numerous ones that would be fine. Both NGK and Denso offer several that are equal to or a step up from the ones you mentioned. Plugs are factory gapped and not recommended that you gap them.
Also I noticed there are different plugs based on which type or rear brakes your car has, disc vs drum. Not sure what thats about. Take a look on Rock Auto, at least it's good for comparison purposes. Don't take a chance with Amazon or Ebay, too many counterfeits.

Use iridium for longer service life (120K miles). For copper you have to swap them out at 30K miles unless you don't mind. I'd buy plugs from rockauto, after getting the part number from plug manufacturers' catalogs, such as NGK's (IFR5T11 #4996):

The Laser Iridiums have a platinum ground pad, so they last 120K miles. The Iridium-IX doesn't have that pad, so the -IX is good for about 60K miles. Get the Laser Iridium, which the catalog says is the actual OE part.

And use the 5% off discount code if you buy from rockauto, scroll to the newest post:

Sticky this thread since the code changes regularly. These days I don’t bother with eBay or Amazon except to compare prices given how everyone knows that there are high amount of suspect plugs
