I have a 2002 Sienna 3.0L FWD Auto with 108K miles. For some reason it would not start yesterday after pulling into a mini mart for a quick stop. It was a record high temp for Roseburg OR yesterday @ 114 degrees. The lights were all strong. Turn key and nothing. After resting for about an hour. It cranked right up. I bought a starter to replace the factory original but, thought I'd ask the group for any ideas? Prior to this there was no indication of any trouble with the starter.

your van is just broken in good, unless in a earlier life it was used as a delivery vehicle and started 30 times a day.

check battery as said, if battery is over 4 years old get a new one anyway, if wife and kids ride in vehicle, do not want to take a chance on them being out somewhere with dead battery.

disconnect battery connections and insure the battery leads do not have corrosion as they can deteriorate up inside of wires, look good but be shorted out inside of wire.
best test for this, vehicle will not start, move cables around then vehicle starts.

when was last time you lubed key switch?

if all else fails get a code ran by local auto parts store, may tell you whats wrong
