I have searched the forum several times, over several days with different search words, but I am unable to find posts that I was sure I remember reading several months (or maybe a year ago) about a moaning or whining sound when the steering wheel has pressure applied to turn. 2009 V6 AWD. 30,000 miles. It only does it when it seems that power assist is applied to the steering, not throughout the whole turn. It doesn't it do it in the morning... I think the electric motor for the power needs to "warm up" or get used a little each day before the sound starts. Once it starts, it is very annoying all day. On the highway, or with the radio turned up, it is hard to hear. The dealer today, says "Normal" (NO SURPRISE)
Any help finding the previous posts... or anyone experience this and had it fixed, so I can tell the dealer what to look at?
Thanks for any help!
