So I'm ordering rotors, pads, air induction, PCV parts from RockAuto.

With $45 in shipping charges I want to slip in more stuff :nerd: 0:)

What else do you order regardless of the job you are doing?

I am thinking wipers, WIX oil filters ($3 a filter!) - the like! >:D

I like to check the clearance items for my cars. The link looks like this, for my Avalon:

Where the "carcode" number is for your specific car. That can be found by navigating to your make, year, model, and engine, and then look in the URL window. For example, a 1996 V6 Camry is:

That last string of digits is the number to plug into the the first one. So it becomes:

Get light bulbs. Small bulbs 194 168 74zzzz 1156, etc. get them in bulk providing they coming from the same place.

Filters I get from our TN vendor

I usually cross check with amazon, RA, and Toyota cool springs. Usually with shipping included, it’s about the same with amazon for me. Shipping is naturally slower with amazon, but I get 5% rewards and usually worry free returns for defective stuff. Toyota coolspring.... every thing genuine :3

Yes, I’ve done this too

If I don't like the shipping charges, I cross-shop with Amazon (well, I cross-shop regardless). Sometimes the price is within $2 but free two-day shipping.

Sometimes I'm boned - I got $60 of shipping charges for three TB kits, couple struts, an axle, and various small parts that all ship from six different locations.

Yes you have to watch those ship location icons to make sure you're getting it from one location. I have found RA does not stock related parts in the same warehouse, so you're forced to eat unnecessary shipping. I've also noticed RA doing some pretty bad packaging on sensitive parts, sometimes just thrown in a box with no packing, or in a bubble pack where one drop can damage the part.

Amazon Prime is my buddy.

I think I should capture all this knowledge and great input and turn it into a sticky.

This will help a lot of newbs.

Too many "what rotor and pads to get" questions on this forum. Over and over again.
