What's up all,
In the market for a daily and am looking at either an XV20 or XV30.

I've owned a 5SFE XV20 (98 4-banger Camry) before and it was by far the easiest car to work on. You can't beat how much space and the location of the oil filter---cant beat it!

My question is, how does the 2AZFE compare when it comes to ease of maintenance and reliability compared to the 5SFE?

I say its ok.. but some were known for issues like the head bolts pulling out of the block or something like that..I know about 5 people who onwed one... one was terrible / an endless money pit. the rest were great. So theres always gonna be a lemon or something.


For a daily though, you may want to go with the newest model you can afford since you'll be pouring on the miles as a daily.
