T-100 tailgate compatibility?

Hello!

I have a 1996 T-100 SR5 extended cab 2WD. I am looking at replacing the tailgate due to some rust issues. What years and models of T-100 can I look for that will work, or won't work? And issues/changes between the years, or trim level etc?

All T-100 tailgates are exactly the same across all cab and trim levels...unless it's been wrecked.

That is good news! How much does a halfway decent tailgate with no rust issues go for? Assuming a couple of dings and it would require a paint job?

Yup! All the tailgates are the same. Finding one the same color as yours will be the tricky part. Check car-part.com, or your local craigslist for people parting them out. No idea on the prices, but good luck!
