I've been looking for the specs on the Toyota T-IV ATF. Does anyone have a link or pdf?

I'm looking for this info.

I don't think Toyota discloses the specifications of the OEM fluids. All the general consumer needs to know is that it is 100% appropriate for the vehicle that calls for it.

If you really want to know; throw a email at Toyota. Or buy some and get a lab to sample test it.

T-IV is the Toyota name for JWS 3309 transmission fluid. Several other manufacturers use the JWS 3309 under their own names. All JWS 3309 fluids meet the same minimum specifications with some JWS 3309 fluids exceeding the specification.

My understanding is that JWS 3309 is a fluid spec put forth by Aisin for some of the their transmission models which they make for various manufacturers. So it's not so much a case of a fluid meeting T-IV specification as it is a case of T-IV meeting JWS 3309 specification. Make sense? I think what you're asking is how much deviation there is between different JWS 3309 compatible fluids.

Toyota's T-IV is likely the same exact fluid as Mobil 3309. Also, if you look closely at the OEM T-IV bottle, you'll see it's the exact same bottle Mobil uses for their non-M1 products--because Mobil makes the ATF you see at the Toyota dealer.

Hasn't T-IV been replaced with WS anyway?
