Thank you. It seems harder and harder to find parts for this truck as time goes. I'm now in need of a few things as its getting older so I'm sure I will be on the site more.

 

Especially rear bumpers! Toyota is very proud of their T100 bumpers,they think they're gold plated not painted or chrome!

Well I'm looking to hear if anyone has reviews on this aftermarket bumper.

Other parts I will be needing are door locks, passanger seat belt, timing belt kit, and steering dampener.

I don't believe anyone has purchased one on this forum. Otherwise there would probably be a thread about it. :wink: T100 rear bumpers were, for a while, only available OEM at $600-$800. This new eBay bumper is the first aftermarket unit available in years from what I can tell.

It looks like you might be the first to pick one up. If so, we'd love to see a review. :grin:

 

Steering dampers are fairly limited; aside from the expense of OEM (which I prefer) there is Monroe @ about $30 which most seem to do (including myself).

What do you mean by door locks? Explain the symptoms/problem. The whole mechanism is known to wear - there are bandaids and fixes (replacement, $$$). Lots of threads on this type of stuff, search on that one.

I replaced my passenger seat belt, bought from ebay, glad I did it!

As far as the bumper goes, I don't think anyone on here has that ebay replacement - you may be the pioneer there.

 

I guess I'll give the bumper a shot. I'll do a post on it.

For the locks the drivers is worse but basically you have to very gently put the key in to make it turn. The passanger side is starting too.

I was hoping to do a bilstein dampener. Anyone know of one that will fit?

 

Think I've read where the Bilstein rubs or something.

Best is the Monroe with boot kit.

 

I received my eBay bumper. Bumper seems good however the paint seems cheap and it was poorly packaged so it got multiple scratches and a small dent. Waiting on my exchange bumper. In the meantime I will get a timing belt kit and toyota sells a master rekey kit for like $300. Not sure I wanna spend that much on 2 locks and ignition.

 

look for a locksmith he rekeyed my spare cylinders for 30 bucks

 

I just had a welder custom build a rear bumper. Looks pretty awesome. Channel and diamond plate.

Yea I got the bumper. Bad shipping and had to get a second one. But overall it's decent. Solid. Crap paint.

 

I am curious did you buy a chrome bumper or a black one? I assume it is the black one if the "paint" is crap. I guess it could be chrome paint?

 

Curious too. I think the PO for my truck used a chain or hook or something on it to try and pull with it, it’s bent on the left side badly. Paint can be fixed but if the bumper seems decent, I’ll probably pull the trigger on one too.

I just re-read this thread again and found the ebay link the OP posted. Looks like he bought a black one and the listing says it is powder coated. I wonder if the chrome one is powder coated or chromed? I backed into a pole in a parking lot about a year ago and my rear bumper is driving me crazy. Might pull the trigger myself...

Full Kit

I also found this, I think it’s the same eBay seller. Comes with the plastic step pads and license plate lamp assys. Cost is not much more, if someone is looking for anything like this, I’m planning on buying it and will report back after install.

On mine, one lamp assy is broken and swinging in the wind, the other broken but still in its housing. Barely lights my plate up, surprised I haven’t been pulled over for it. Step pads are also messed up due to the bumper being massively bent.
