I've been thinking of selling my 2006 avalon limited. It has 119,000 miles on it (mostly highway). It has the factory bodykit, 2008 bumper w/e&g grille, Kenwood in-dash 7" screen with sirius and navigation, 8.8" headrest monitors, 21" giovanna drama wheels, black opal metallic paint job. I'm leaving it just like it is and asking $11,000. You guys think that's fair even with the high miles? If some of ya'll haven't seen some pics of my car, here is the link to my cardomain page. www.cardomain.com/ride/3189124/

It looks pretty clean from the photos, so if you haven't had any accidents with it or any body work done. Plus if it's pretty clean and pretty much no dings, at least in my area you could command upwards of $14,000 for your Avalon. In Alabama I don't know about the market, but I'd suspect $11,000 would be about right, and $12,000 if you were lucky. Just my two cents.

Thanks for all you guys input. I got a couple people interested in buying it so i'll see, not really in a rush to sell. I might take it to a car lot just to see how much they'll offer. I've been looking at getting either a BMW 750Li or Lexus LS460L. Leaning more towards the 460L though.

I thought about getting the 2011 avalon. They're starting to grow on me, especially when I see the pearl white avalons. I kinda want something with a little more power and space though. I really want to get the Ls460L and what I've been looking at lately, a 2007 460L is in the same price range as the 2011 avalon. Decisions, decisions! Well, I have to sell my car first before I can do anything.

HELL NO - I'd sell it for more!!

I am showing in my neck of the woods - Denver, Colorado Metro area, your TRADE IN value for the car is $11,625 - RETAIL is $16,325 with 119K miles in excellent condition (what yours looks like in the pictures).

If it was mine and I was selling it (in Denver area) I'd list it for $16.5K and take $15K for it - $14.5 or so if I was willing to take a loss just to get it sold fast. $11K? Hell no. The lease expensive 06 Avalon asking price in my area is $15K - and it's not the limited (it's a base) and not nearly as nice looking as yours.

I don't know if getting the car repainted actually hurts the resale since it's not the factory paint anymore. It wasn't in any accident, just wanted a fresh paint job. Kelly Blue Book in my area shows about the same value as in Denver. I don't have the factory wheels anymore so I would have to sell it with the 21's or try to find some cheap wheels to go on there. I might see how much it is to list on autotrader and see how it goes. I'll try $14k.

This is wy i kept mine to where i could go very close BACK to stock.Everything but the lower mesh grille can be removed and replaced with the stock parts.

I'm so undecided right now. I really don't owe that much on the car to where I probably should just keep it and pay it off. There is a couple people that are interested in buying but I don't think any of them will come through. If I do sell, I'll try for $12K but take no less than $10k. My dad was saying he would buy it if I really want to sell it, and he would just write me a check, but of course I'll have to change out the rims and take the tv's out. I looked at some new maximas today, I kinda like them but the one was looking at was right at $40k, I can't see myself paying that much for a maxima. Still considering a used Lexus Ls460L or Bmw 750Li

It's funny over the week, we saw a 95 1 owner Avalon 135K miles, $5K (listed) and a 2000 Avalon 105K miles $8K (listed) both XLS and thinking it would be $3K and $6500 for those cars. Then I came along a 05 Limited 1 owner 78K miles for $13999. I told my wife (she has 06 limited w/NAV) and we are kind of thinking about checking out that 05.

We just think the Avalon offeres so much value over other cars. Not to mention the space it has.

I guess you may as well sell it to your family even if it is lower price. $40K Maxima? My wife's friend did that. She got a loaded Black Maxima with $40K+, all options. I told my wife I will never do that, come on, it's a Maxima. Would rather have an used Lexus or BMW.

I am going to check out the 2000 1st, then go see the 05 if I have time today :)

I have to see who's willing to buy my car first. This guy at work wants it and he wants me to leave it exactly how it is, but if my dad or this other guy from work buys it, they want me to take off the rims. If your serious then I'll let you know what happens.
