It can be done and it has been done. It takes time to do because of the nipples.

Why do you want to tint or smoke your headlights? I've never understood this craze. People pay good money investing in fog lights, HID lights, and whatnot, for "better" visibility. That I understand. But why would one want to "reduce" their visibility? I understand that some people like the "look" of it, but is it really worth the loss of vision.
Why not just drive around with a patch on one eye like a pirate?:lol: That looks cool too....doesn't it?

That's what one of the things i was contiplating on doing and for that reason. I have HID type light but not a kit. So i'm not sure what percent of light loss will be effected by doing this. On the other thread i posted i was thinking about paint the housing on the inside the same color as my car. I was trying to figure out which one would be less time consuming.

 

get headlight protectors and paint them the same color as your car

 

I'm not sure, but you may also want to look into the laws regarding this. It may be illegal depending on how dark you decide to go.
