Hi

I have a 2000 CE, the current tires on it are 186/65R14. The sticker in the glove box lists 175/65R14. The owners manual lists both sizes.

175/65R14 - Width 6.89, Diameter 22.96, Circumference 72.09
185/65R14 - Width 7.28, Diameter 23.47, Circumference 73.7

The 185 will only give me 1/4 inch more of clearance which is nothing.

Width wise the 185 is .39 inches wider which is 6%. How much of a difference is this?

Anything else to consider?

What is everyone else running?

Will the differences between the two even be noticeable?

There is no difference in price, sometimes the 175 is $1 less and sometimes its a $1 more.

You won't notice any difference especially comparing the same two tires just in the different sizes.
Any tire with a taller sidewall will ride nicer but the minimal difference in these two tires could simply been a supply chain issue during manufacturing so both had to be listed.

I run 185 summer and 175 winter have been for 7 years no issue. Smaller tires width carve snow a bit better is my logic. I've also never bought a brand new tire my whole life so whatever best available used at the time is what I go with. Very important to get fresh tires with a fairly recent date stamp makes way more difference than the 1cm difference even brand new check the tire date and don't accept old rubber.
