So seems I have 6/32 (I I got that right) on my left tires and 4/32 on the right side tires. Anyone else had to replace your tires yet on a 2020 highlander xle hybrid (not awd model)? I did tow a 3,000 travel trailer (21’) from PA to FL plus a trip from Helen GA to Bringham AL and back to Helen plus a trip pulling it to Waynesville and back to Helen. Toyo Open County are the tires I have on it when purchased new. Anyone change to different tires? Have been happy with how they sound, or to say…they don’t seem to make noise that I notice.

Anyone else having their tires wear more on the left side (driver side) then the passenger side? Dealer wonders if a different dealer might not have rotated them when they said they did at a prior time or two.

Getting 36mpg no matter what I do and don’t try to drive for high mpg. Maybe 18mpg towing though that can change if going down hill or up a lot of hills in GA/NC. Live in Florida tampabay flat county and drive there most times without towing anything there (well one trip to Live Oak with TT and back to tampabay.

IMHO, OEM tires that come with a new Toyota Highlander don't have the best life span. My previous 2017 Highlander Hybrid only had 4/32 left after only 24,000 miles - Bridgestone. I noticed when the vehicle was first delivered the tires only had 9/32 to begin with instead of the usual 10/32. Someone mentioned - could be wrong - that the OEM tires are not the same as you would buy at a tire dealer - they're especially made just for the car manufacturer to give a much better ride when on a test drive.

My current Toyo Open Country A43 on my 2020 Highlander Hybrid seem to be wearing better that my previous experience with the Bridgestone but will probably need replacement before 40,000 miles.

Given that the UTQG treadwear,... 100 is equal to 7200 miles on the standard test...the Toyo Open Country A43 have a wear rating of 300 (or 3 times 7200 miles), I would say you exceeded the mileage on those tires, so you got your money's worth for OE Toyo Tires.

You can get aftermarket tires with much better mileage warranties, that should last longer than the factory Toyo's
