To bring this up to date: I am replacing the O2 sensors in my 1996 Camry V6 wagon.
The torque specification is 31.0 ftlbs for Denso/Bosch style sensors. These sensors thread into the exhaust manifolds and one after the catalytic converter.
Hope this helps others in the future.
Rent the split socket set from an auto parts store. A must.
There is a fair youtube post that gets the basics communicated:

I tighten to, well, until tight... it's a dang sensor, it's not like it's holding a wheel on the car. Just snug it up and then tighten it. Use common sense and don't put a 1/2" socket and a 3 foot breaker bar on it, just tighten the bolt by hand. The nuts are flared (original ones anyhow) so they're not going to back off...

+1, GutenTight if your german. Its not a suspension or internal motor part. The torque wrench can stay in the box just dont go crazy on it and make it a little snug. I would advise changing the gasket out. Although I did just remove and reinstall mine with the original gasket and it seems to have melted itself back to a decent seal.
