I'm looking to a getting a travel trailer and pulling with a tocoma, the trailer weight will be 3500-4000 lbs and will be pulling it 1000 mile to fl. Then another 1700 to nm. then back to WV. Truck is a Tacoma TRD sport 4 door 4WD with towing package. Has anyone towed that far with a tocoma? How did it do? What was the gas mileage? Any advice would be helpful.

Some owners have posted towing similar set-ups. Doesn't appear to be an issue.

I've done about a 1000 mile plus round trip to fort kent, maine towing a 2 place enclosed clamshell trailer with a couple 600 lb snowmobiles inside plus gear. Fuel economy wasn't all that great at 15 mpg, but in the S4 mode, the truck had enough power, and then some if needed. Just be sure your trailer brakes, and controller work good, plus pulling these trailers can be a handful with head, and cross winds.
