i was at Toys 'R Us on Wednesday, and appropriately they had Toyotas there

and it seems they've reissued the original Transformers, too!
sure beats that crappy new Transformers Armada

I've always wanted optimus prime, and even though I can afford them, finally! But $49.99 it too expensive. It's a joke how expensive some toys are-reissues or not.

I can tell you that the original Optimus Prime was $19.99USD when it first came out in the 80's. I remember this cause I saw an ad for it while on vacation and almost blew all my souvenir money getting it

Even given inflation, the reissue prices seem rather steep to me.

I loved the original cartoon. Used to watch it when I was a little kid. All the trucks and police cars and fire trucks! It was amazing..

Where can you get the original series on DVD or VHS?

there's a large car crew in Cali that go by the name Autobots. they have the sticker as their logo. you may have seen a pic of a car from that crew.

There's a gay 2003 Silver Civic DX 2dr. that has the Trasnsformer sticker on the hood in red! You won't miss it, the car has a huge Touring wing and a really loud exhaust! (Hold on, I just described every Civic in TO) :lol:

ive seen the one you refer of.
you can get the transformers series 1 and 2 dvds at most DVD sellers, but they're about 80-90 bucks.

What you have to get is "Transformers The Movie" on DVD.

What I liked about the movie is that Megatron was the REAL bad guy doing REAL bad guy things....

HE shot to KILL...none of this, "Ahhh, I'll be alright Optimus.." shit....

He kicked ass as Megatron, and he kicked ass when he was rebuilt by Unicron into Galvatron.

The way he put Starscream out in the movie, loved it!
I was getting tired of his whiney ass anyway...

And when he transformed into that Walther, you were really DEAD...you didn't even make it back to the series after that.

Yeah, transformers didnt have any political bs you see in cartoons nowadays. Guns looked like guns and werent made of colorful pastel colors :lol:. Plus the bad guy actually turned into a gun/cannon, how often do you see that nowadays, plus they killed other transformers. Heck unicron ATE other transformers for breakfast. aaaah the good old times, when cartoon characters werent hysterical chickens running around. :lol:

Fav. line from the movie. Plus any movie that has Eric Idle in it is good in my book. *Sigh* I wish I still had my original optimus prime. I could have sworn we saved some of that stuff, but I can't find any. Guss my mom pulled the old garage sale trick. Had quite a few of them. Shockwave (loved the gun form), Tripticon, Jazz, Astrotrain, Soundwave, Grimlock, Blitzwing, and Prowl are the ones I remember. Had some go-bots too, along with some GI Joe's, some He-man's, and the coolest, MASK. MASK was the bizomb. Mobile Armoured Strike Kommand (It was cool cause it was purposely spelled wrong!).
