As anyone been suscessful at tracking their 2013 Toyota to and through the assemply line? I was told by my dealer that my new 2013 Camry XLE V6 would leave the assembly line near the end of March. I have a partial VIN number or what they call a build number to identify the yet unbuilt vehicle. I read it takes about 21 hours to build the car. It would be nice to know when it started and finished assembly. Better yet I wonder if it is possible to watch the car being built? Bill

Thank you Veenie and Canread.
Based on what I have read, until last January, special ordering a Toyota took upwards of 74 days. Currently Toyota is saying they can special order a vehicle two to three weeks. I believe they are optomistic but I feel it is a step in the right direction.
Toyota introduced a new color to the line up after they started 2013 production. The color (Champaign Mica) is not shown in the brochures. My dealer did not have one Champaign Mica car on his lot.
In addtion, I wanted the blind spot alarm which was only availible in a $1600 option package but could be installed as a single item when the vehicle was ordered from the factory.
I decided that waiting 4 to 6 weeks was not a big deal and beside my 2004 Camry is running great.. Back in 1993, I waited 16 weeks of my GMC Suburban. Bill
