When I was driving around yesterday, I swear I saw a tacoma with the marker lights on the inside (where the emergency lights ambers are) and the little top corner marker lights weren't lit at all. Has anybody ever seen this? I really want to do it as it looks really nice!

The bulbs/sockets aren`t exchangeable 1 big hole 1 small hole I tried that
3157`s in the front 194`s in the corners
The only problem with this switch is the corners make poor turn signals they`re not bright enough already had 2 people start to go at stopsigns because they couldn`t tell I was turning I even put in 4 bulb LED 194`s
I just ordered a second set of 3157`s and sockets from the dealer they are $11 each and am going to install them in the corners they`ll make better turn signals
You can see good enough to drive at night they`re almost as bright as yellow fogs
yet the headlights cancel them out nicely so they`re not obnoxious enough to get me pulled over

I seem to be missing something here.

Correct me if I am wrong but the amber maker lights are the DTRLs (as well as the turning lights). The little top corner lights are the "parking lights".

Now, my setup is, once I turn the key the DTRLs come on. I can turn the parking lights on and the DTRLs remain on. Once I turn on the headlights the DTRLs go off.

I believe you are refering to the daytime running lights, they are factory on canadian trucks, but here in the states its not mandatory, there is a write up on how to do this in the sticky thread
