UGG 85 or a 86 if you know

Just a newbee to the 4x4 world, was working on the seats and noticed the plate riveted to the inside of the door frame. it shows manufactured date as Nov/1985

I have been building the motor calling for 86 4x4 parts, is this actually a 85 truck.

That's an 86. Model years straddle calendar years.

For most vehicles on the road today, anything built from Sept on will be concidered the next model year. Most good parts guys will ask you for the production date or the VIN.

The model year will be on the title and registration.
The actual build/production date is on the VIN plate.

Model years usually start in Sept (there are exceptions) so yours would be an early 86.
But, an early "86" could have some 85 parts.
