Ugh....what a bad day! It was raining and my windshield was fogged. I was taking a left turn and there was a median on the left side with a big curb. I misjudged my distance and I took a left turn and ran over it. It sounded awfull. I looked at the front and cosmetically it looks good. What kind of damage could I have done underneath? Could the wheels, axel, or anything else be bent? Could there be any fasteners that hold the body be broken? Could there be a oil pan bent or anything? What about the alignment?

How does the car drive?

See how it drives, see if it pulls when your just driving straight line. Couldn't have hit the oil pan since its on the other side of the body, it's possible you could've broke some of the clips to the underside panels. Just take a look, or even pics would help.

Do you know how to properly defog your windshield?

The only way I know is to turn on the defogger but my car was still warming up when I had to leave for work.

It seemed to drive straight on the highway. But now everything is psychosomatic so I can't tell if if every noise I hear from the road is a issue with the car or normal since I'm so upset.

Should I take it in the dealership service and ask them to check it over to make sure I didn't mess anything up?

the lesson here, make sure your windows are clear. Up here the cops give you a fine if you do not brush all the snow off your windows! Hope its just minor stuff to fix.

ugh.....it's pouring rain here and i can't take it to the dealer until my next day off. i got a look underneath it from the front and side with my phone camera flash light bending down and i could not really see any scrapes at all...strange. would it be possible to wurp/bend the steering axle or wurp the round part that the wheel attaches to turning left over a curb around 10 miles an hour?
