Recently got her back after having a trusted toyota shop look her over and ended up doing the 3 injectors under the plenum. Plus all spark plugs. I also did hood struts, a new windshield reservoir and pump + some SEALIGHT LED headlights + resistor harnesses. Next up is gonna be a bluetooth unit + new antenna and speakers and eventually a repaint to Dark Emerald Pearl.

Great car! I had the exact same spec except a 92 SE 5 speed in green, bought new. Mine had a J VIN made in Japan. Always regretted trading it in.

I had the obligatory 90's smoky bubble sunroof vent installed up top though, although don't see it in this picture I found. Pretty dirty from the high Sierra winter and snow which is where I lived then in NV.

I recently found an old car magazine I'd saved from 92 or 93 with a good comparo between the Camry SE, Taurus SHO and Maxima. If I stumble across it again I'll post it here.

I did an engine flush with liqui moly. I refilled and ran with napa 5w-30 full synthetic and a motor craft filter for 15 min. I drained and refilled with Rotella T6 5w-30 multi vehicle and a napa gold filter. I also did the AFM mod and leaned it out 4 clicks, which improved my idle, and throttle response noticably.

That is correct, it was only used on the Solara (Gen1, which still shared the Camry Gen3 underbody).
If you don't have access to a used one from a Gen 1 Solara, or don't want to buy one from the dealer, you can make your own out of 3.2mm thick steel (1/8" thick), with two 14mm holes drilled 90mm apart.

the Gen4 Camry had similar, but the holes are much further apart
