So your is engine running? What was the issue? The only ppl that I know who upgraded to a higher rated injector had installed a SC or TBo on a modified engine. Have you run the part number OEM part number through a data base to see if it has been superseded?

Car is running but is extremely underpowered. So I figured I changed the oil pump again since it's cheap and this time I took out the oil "V" filter and it was filled with crap (metal fragments).

I also have an old PCV valve with a bottleneck PCV Rubber Line. So I'm replacing that now as we speak...




Anyways weird thing is 23250-74100 shows both the 4-hole and the 2-hole chamber injectors? Anyone know the differences?

 

I don't know what is going on exactly with your camshaft but this doesn't look right at all, was it corrected?

 

Hmm I forgot to put a service bolt previously so I had to wind it back the shaft to place a service bolt is it not right?

 

Here's a spare cam I have the gear halves are aligned.

 

Please forgive the hijack, but 71Corolla or someone, could you please explain about the service bolt and the reason for it? I looked at my FSM and see that it said to install one before removing the cam. I saw a wave washer was involved so is the cam gear spring loaded for clearance or something like that. I have never had a head problem so I an ignorant in this area of the engine.

I asked an engine rebuilder why the exhaust cam gears are split he told me it is to reduce noise. The gear halves are spring loaded so if you remove the cam without the service bolt the gears will become misaligned, although there is a pin that prevents the gears from completely spinning out of alignment. If you remove the gear without the service bolt you can get them back into alignment by prying/rotating the gears using a screw driver via the service bolt hole, then thread in said bolt.

Yeah that's what I did, I aligned it back with a flathead, it looks out-of-synch but trust me it was loaded flush.

IDK since it is an ebay vendor. I posted the oem #. I checked the Denso page and the number wasn't listed as well.

I guess it's best to stay away from the uncertainty then.

 

I googled the number and it is listed as fitting the 2.2L engine. The price is really good on them. I would ask the vendor about the numbers and their return policy.

Why do you think replacement injectors will fix an engine that is way down on power? Have you done a compression check?
