now that the v6 is gone why not put the turbo 4 in the hybrid and make it a plug in?? the rav4 prime has all the horsepower you need and good fuel ecoonomy. put that into the highlander for the best of both worlds. i see no sence in trading my 6 for a 4 that doesn't get better milage

rav4 prime isn't a turbo 4- banger to begin with. The highlander can't get the Rav4 Prime's fuel economy because it's a much larger vehicle, so both electric range and hybrid fuel economy will take a hit.

I wouldn't mind a PHEV Highlander... for the good parking spots (and to charge the battery while I do things), and at least drive in EV mode in the carpool lane for my commute to work. (but it means I have to put those stickers on the bumper, which I'm not a fan of)

thr phev's get bigger electric moters for some reason and that gives them the extra horsepower. the rav prime hae over 300 hp , more the the v6

This may be a good thing....as i never really liked the I4 in the Rav4 anyways. Those that have the older models of the Rav4 with the much sought after V6 engines and in excellent condition.....can now expect then to appreciate in valve considerably.

I'm sorry but a turbo in a SUV is just not practical.....for my use anyways.
