Hey there. I have 1999 Camry LE 5S-FE 4-cylinder. I have a vacuum hose that is cracked and needs replacing due to a P0446 code. This hose runs from the Vacuum Switching Valve to the Throttle Body (I think) and is about 17 inches long. The crack is on the Throttle Body side, above the air intake hose. Here are photos:
As a temporary fix, a friend and I cut off the cracked portion and added electrical tape, which seemed to seal the air leak and turn off the Check Engine light. After a couple of weeks and 95+ temperatures, the Check Engine light came on again and I saw the heat melted the electrical tape.
I went to Advance Auto Parts for a replacement hose, but the hose was too wide. I went to AutoZone and received a hose that seemed to be snug (4mm) but seemed a bit too long, but the Check Engine light remains on.
Does anyone have any idea what the Toyota part number might be for this hose that runs from the Vacuum Switching Valve to the Throttle Body? I think it may be 90999-92002. Thank you in advance.
