Have you or the dealer tried switching tires from front to back to see if the shake follows the tires? Front shake will feel different from a rear shake. If the shake follows, assuming the tire balance was done correctly, may be one of the rims is not straight, or one of the tires has a defect.
If the shake is the same after the switch, the problem could be in the suspension, then it gets more complicated.

 

They didn’t tell me what they exactly did but I’m going to assume they switched the wheels when doing the balance. It’s only vibrating at 60-70 mph.

 

did you check tire pressure. some cars and at max tire pressure 50 psi upon delivery and was not set to recommended value on placard like 31/33 example.

 

That’s not a bad idea. I checked my app and it said 32 psi but I’ll check in the morning.

 

Tires are going to be the number one culprit here. You could see if one of your brake calipers are sticking as well.

 

The vehicle is still under full bumper to bumper warranty....this is unacceptable. Have them replace all the tires and rims to start with. Then if problem still persists......have them check and replace all the wheel bearings. All this may even prompt the dealer to just give you a new vehicle.

 

I’ll ask them too when I go in on Monday. They’re the Dunlop Ensave which are from the factory so it could be those tires.

 

I suggest riding along with the mechanic - also make sure you keep the documentation of each visit... Lemon law and all that.

 

I originally got the wheels balanced which actually helped a little bit with the vibration, but it still vibrates at highway speeds, almost as if its on and off when taking broad turns.

I brought it to the dealer after getting the wheels balanced, and they couldn't feel it so I'm going to bring it in again to the dealer I originally purchased it from to get it looked at.

You were supposed to see the dealer first... It's most likely a bad tire if none of your 16" steel wheels are deformed. What are your inflation pressures at?

 

Brought it to my local Toyota dealer who balanced the tires. Brought it in again after it was still vibrating and they couldn’t find anything. Bringing it back to the original Toyota dealer on Monday to see if they can try and fix it.

Edit: Forgot to add the pressures were Front left: 40, Front Right: 42, Rear Left: 40, Rear Right: 41.

 

Had the same issue on an older car I owned.
The tires were getting down, about 5-6/32nds, and I had them replaced.
Vibration went away.

 

Tire inflation pressure needs to be maintained according to ambient temperatures... Inflation pressure changes by about 1 psi for every 10 degree Fahrenheit change in ambient temperature.

 

Hmm strange. I live in the northeast so it changes quite frequently but I didn’t know tires could impact it so much!

I’ll have to take it for a drive later tonight to see how it feels.
