My wife and I are looking for a small suv for to fit our growing family and we really like the looks of the Venza, we were wondering if there is enough room for a double stroller in the cargo area and room for groceries and such. I saw on the other thread they are being discontinued, will this affect purchase pricing and how about long term resale value? Also is anyone worried about parts availability for these in the future considering they were only made for a few years?

I don't know how big your double stroller is, but I fit our single stroller fine with room to spare. But if you have 2 kids and this is the grocery getter, you will not have room for groceries. The trunk is high compare to my 08 CRV and much less volume. If we need to get grocery, we take the CRV. Best thing is to bring your stroller and test fit it when u test drive the car.

Dealers way or may not discount the inventory on their lots after final production this summer. If there is a modicum of demand they won't likely to discount a it becomes a rarity on the lots. If demand dries up....ya can probably make a great deal...... It is just an unknown at this time. As for projecting resale for discontinued anything is more so unpredictable..... The venza was never very popular as sales numbers indicated and that isn't likely to change post production. Based upon your needs and concerns, your best bet is to get into something like the new highlander.........

Idk how you guys fit your grocerys and stroller but my brother have the 08 CRV and is not even close to fitting things like i do in my venza. I have a lancer as a second vehicle, so i take the venza grocery shopping "always with the stroller" and i can easily fit everything no problem... No i do not have a doble stroller or those small stroller people use, my son stroller is pretty big.

...CRV for the cost of my Venza LE, but the passenger area seemed and felt much larger than the CRV. Cargo area may have not been that way, but we didn't really compare those two as either one of those vehicles cargo areas would have our needs.
I've never been inside a CRV, but I always thought they were smaller than a Venza. I just looked up the numbers and surprisingly they are on par with each other.

Cargo area in cubic feet:
Venza: 36.2, 70.2 with the seat down
CRV: 35.3, 70.9 with the seat down

The CRV just felt smaller when we were inside it. The numbers, as you have shown were close, but it just felt more cramped. Like the Rav4 did. And the fact that my wife had been wanting a Venza since they came out :) We don't regret it.

10 year 100k is powertrain only and a joke. Toyotas and Hondas don't need that kind of warranty as they are quality. The crv and rav4 are quite a bit smaller in leg room, hip room, and cargo. The measurements posted are measuring to the ceiling. When was the last time u loaded up to the ceiling? The venza is wider and deeper. We test drove a rav4 and after 2 minutes said no due to size. I doubt resale will be effected. I have an 03 Honda Element as well and it wasn't the most popular car but it has held its resale very well.

My parents have a Sorento and have not had any problems and they love it. Kia used to be a joke, but they have definitely improved their numbers. If you are buying a new Kia you will take a big hit if you plan to sell it any time soon. If you plan to keep it until 100k mi then you should be good.

I swapped my Genesis Coupe for a Venza for the same reason. I have a double stroller (City select), and one Diono car car seat. Venza has one of the widest backseat that fits my budget very well. It's wider than most of the CUV out there, Rav4, CRV, Santa FE, Forester, and it's longer as well

my wife enjoys sitting in the back seat with the baby, and she loves how much room she has in the venza, vs. the crampy-ness in the Honda Fit. Unfortunately, i cannot put a car seat in my previous Genesis coupe.

even w/ the stroller, the child booster seat, i still have lots of room for
groceries and other shopping goods

i don't think getting the venza was a wrong decision, i love my roominess.
