Vibration in the cabin and bumpy ride at all speeds.

My new corolla LE 2021, less than 10k km, after the first servicing done, there is a constant but slight vibration in the cabin, not just the steering wheel, throughout the ride, even on the smoothest highways with cruising sppeds, the ride feels bumpier, i took it the dealer twice in a week and they said it was a problem with wheel balancing when the tires are rotated during the first service and it should be good.

It stills feels the same if not more bumpier, today i took it to another toyota service and he took it out for a ride, came back within 5 mins saying there is nothing wrong with it.

I am frustrated and helpless.
I can feel the resistance coming from the brake and acceleration pedals through my foot and also the car feels too wobbly when filled with load(3 luggahe bags, 100 kg) while turing even at slow speeds and extremely carefuly.

Edit: no warning lights, tire pressure is good and equal on all tires.

Weird... They mentioned having a balancing problem upon rotation. Perhaps a tire or wheel is slightly deformed.

Hello all, i am first-time car owner, a 2021 corolla LE, barely 2000 miles on it.

Recently i noticed a shudder/vibration when touching the gas pedal only slighly to maintain speed(at lower and higher speeds) after it's been a while without my foot on the pedal, i do not know why this is happening, but it is annoying as hell.

Please help me out, i am not clear on the information i found online too, any fault with the torque converter(i don't even know what function this serves) or is it an entirely different issue.

I have an appointment with the dealer in a week's time, i am going to ask them for sure, but please weigh in your thoughts as well, thankyou!

Sounds like a wheel balance or possibly a pothole special :\

Unless you have the tire/wheel protection included in your purchase (I believe those are good for the first 12 months), I'd take it to a reputable tire shop for them to have a closer look. If you have the said coverage, I'd go back to the dealer and ask them to have another look, or go and see another dealer...

It sounds to me like you have a bad tire. The key is they rotated the tires for the first service. The bad tire was in the rear where it's harder to feel a tire vibration then when it was moved to the front.

Don't let them tell you there is nothing wrong. Keep saying it has a vibration after the tires were rotated.

Ideally you should bring it to a shop that has a road force variation balancer and they will identify the bad tire.

As the world dealt with the Firestone fiasco in the 90's, learn from this event. Tires may look fine. I would urge the dealer to take the tire off to inspect it fully along with the rims. Tell them it's a safety item that you don't want to find out with a blow out.

So to be clear ... people are reporting vibration after going to dealer?

1 said after 1st 10k service and the other said 4th time ?

Has anyone experienced this on the car alone without a dealer service interval?

Well, I can attest that the Corolla's with the 18" wheels & low-profile 40 series tires have quite a bit of cabin vibration/noise on most/all of the less-than-pristine roads out there. It's basically fine on good, smooth roads though at all speeds, albeit a bit stiff (as sporty cars tend to be). I figured it would be better on the Corolla's with the 16" wheels & more-forgiving higher-profile tires.

2018 camry xse here. I had my tires balanced at differemt places several times. Always feel it in seat and floor board meaning rears. Rotate them and its same. One shop did show me visibly bent 19 inch rims. Switched to 17’s with higher profile To get same overal size. Still shimmys. I changed both rear hub amd bearing assemblies.. still there.i feel no pulsation when braking. Just constant..?????

Mileage? How are your rear shock absorbers? Throw a pair of Tein EnduraPro shock absorbers in the rear. Much beefier and more supportive than stock, they'll also restore your ride height and camber angles to some degree.

Toyota just doesn't build them like they used to these days IMO, especially their lower-tier TNGA Corolla (or the Corolla Cross). My 2020 TNGA Corolla Sedan SE developed over a half-dozen different chronic cabin rattles in the doors, dash, pillars, sunroof area, etc. during the 2 years & 10K miles that I kept it before ditching it (due to other more serious issues/problems I experienced as well). The constant rattles/vibrations drove me crazy & made the vehicle feel really cheaply built. Easily the worst vehicle ownership experience in over 40 years & 11 new vehicles owned.

The only other Toyota I have owned was a ~$19K 2015 Yaris SE hatch 5-MT & aside from a rattle in the left driver side vent from the factory (which was promptly fixed by dealership), it never developed any other interior chronic rattles/vibrations for the 4-5 years that I had it before it was sent to the auto graveyard by a distracted driver. Loved that car & IMO it (2015-2018 gen) was the last of the "old-school" bulletproof Toyota's sold in the USA.

I purchased my first Mazda in early 2022 & have driven it for about 3.5 years now without a single chronic cabin rattle/vibration developing.

Those have been my personal experiences in the last 10 years of vehicle ownership, after I finally left the Honda/Acura 'cult' to try other brands. :p

If you had the dealership rotate the tires, assume that the rotation pattern was incorrect, the lowest tier tech gets to rotate tires, and putting a left side tire on the right side will cause this, especially if the belts have "worn in" directionally (which is why you rotate on the same side). I tend to mark the position of the tire on my rims, but thats just me.
