This is the #1 reason why I don't park my truck in street. It's not garaged (wife's cars comes 1st) but it's always in the driveway. We have some heavy fog where I live and people are always crashing into parked cars.
Yep, I don't have any choice but to park on the street when I'm at work. It's fairly icy here right now, so I will not park near the intersection. Even if it means walking a few blocks. Someone takes a corner too fast... and bang.

Wow, that's pretty bad. Sorry to hear that happened to you. Yeah, many people suck, to just leave you with the damage they have caused.

I guess you'll be calling Pritz on Monday morning. :disappoin

Fuckin sucks Jesse. :cursin:

That's a damn nice looking truck. Looks like all surface damage. In a couple weeks, you'll never know this happened.

Pritz has done 2 jobs for me and 3 for one of my buddies. I can't recommend them highly enough. Two locations, get the one on the east side. The other is on Roosevelt. Both are good, east is just closer.

Good luck. Try not to let it f-up the holidays.

Let me know if you catch the creep. I'll test out my new AR15 on his tires! :naughty:

:joking: ...maybe.

That sucks man. I hope they catch that guy... hopefully your nofault insurance will take care of it.

WOW! That blows.:thumbsdow I park on the street quite a bit, makes me want to find a new spot :ugh3:. For the sake of the looser that messed your truck, I hope the authorities get to him first....I don't know what I would do if I caught the guy that hit my truck and took off. :hammer:

Wow that sucks sorry to see that happen. It happens alot in parking lots here expecially now that we have snow, ice and xmas shoppers. I was lucky enough to be walking up to my blaZeR2 (last vehicle prior to the Taco) as a cadilac was pulling in next to me too wide. The lady tried to say that the damage was already there, luckily there was a witness who was also walking out to their car.

Hope you find the guy, but seeming how they will need to get their damage fixed maybe the insurance company will be able to track them down. Would be really funny if they happed to go to the same one you do on the same day to make a claim.

man, it's so nice to have a place like this where people feel your pain. Most of my friends aren't as attached to their vehicles, like say most of us here. It just sucks because i have another car i commute in (96 passat tdi) and i park that on the street in front of my house which is really busy. i intentionally park the truck in a church parking lot out back of my house, directly where my detached garage door points. 4 years and it's always been safe. but this holiday weekend i'll be moving a ton of shit out of the garage and the truck will now go in there, fuck this shit. but no update other than i'll pay my insurance co. 500 and get it in the shop Jan 5th due to the holidays, etc. noticed yesterday also i have some nice chunks out of the tire and rim too (why not right?). But i'm certainly on the lookout for this vehicle. it's definitely an older car because there is rust on the backside of the blue paintchips i found on the ground. also in my truck i have the biggest chunk of broken headlight i found, in case i get the chance to try and match it to a busted blue car i find. i'm very doubtful of either me or the plice finding this car though. thanks again guys, good support circle.

The insurance adjuster called me back today and estimated damage @ $2,400.00. Sounds very low to me, but we'll see what the shop says. of course Progressive will send a supplemental check should the damage turn out to be more.

That does sound pretty low. Progressive is pretty good to work with tho. I had to deal with them after some chick rear ended me in my Cavalier. They found hidden damage once they started repairs and all it took was one phone call and the adjuster had another check to the body shop the same day.

believe me man, i wish it were that easy.

As far as the repair goes, i've always had any body work done @ the Toyota collision shop and they do quality work. i dont anticipate anything less than the truck being returned to the condition it was. also i read through the estimate last night and it includes a new rim and tire, so that's cool at least.

Ouch! Looks like a drunk driver! Well hope karma bites him back.

Do you have an alarm on your truck? I know my alarm would've been blaring if this happened. Well, I hope you get it fixed soon and is turns out better than stock.

Actually, when I got the damage that happened to my truck repaired, the shop did an excellent job of blending everything, including that texture. If it's a quality shop, they should be able to repair it like nothing ever happened. Good luck with everything.

If it was me, and I found who did it, heads would roll. I'm still on the lookout for whoever messed up my truck.:thumbsdow

It is nice to be around people who feel the same way about our vehicles. People think I'm overreacting when I freak out if they get too close to my truck with a shopping cart, football, or just in general.

^ Yeah, I have to admit, I really do like the dealer here in town. They're good people, and they've always treated me well.

Here's hoping that by this time next month, all this crap will be a distant memory, and all signs of damage will have been erased. :chug:

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you! :woot: <(I guess I need a holiday smilie!)
