Changing the struts & springs on 2004 WRX was a major pain in my case. Took about 4-5 hours to change all four. Dont forget to get spring compressor and to disconnect the brake line while detatching the stuts from your car.

Check your rear swaybar bushings first. Jack up the rear of the car and if you can move the swaybar from side to side, the swaybar bushings are shot. Cheap and easy to replace. This caused a rattle in the rear of my 98 at only 70,000 miles.

I didn't say go to autozone I said go to their website and look for the instructions

 

there is no autozone in australia... to change struts... its almost the same deal as fitting springs... just no spring bit.. there really sint a hard bit... bunch of nuts, and ya rear seat/parcel shelf in the way

go to autozone.com and go to their repair section. That's what I used when I changed my struts, but to tell you the truth you don't even really need that.
