My daughter have 1995 camry 2.2L , last year I have water pump replaced by local mechanic and now I noticed small water leak at the water bypass pipe that goes into the water pump.. my question is can I remove the bypass pipe and pull away from water pump to replace the gasket without have to take the water pump out....

It is quite difficult to get enough movement out of the bypass pipes to replace the O-ring and gasket. There are coolant lines going to the oil cooler and rubber lines on the transmission side. It's doable, but you do risk disturbing the flexible lines which may be an issue depending on their condition.

Here's a pic that shows clearly what you're dealing with.

Zombie thread back to life.

I realize this hasn't been touched in over a year, but I'm having a problem with my bypass pipe seals.
I was able to get them off and replace the O-ring and metal gasket with new dealer gaskets, but it is still leaking pretty bad, should I pull it apart again and see if there is crud in there, or am I missing a step in getting it sealed? I am about ready to use RTV and seal the crap out of it for good... thoughts?
I only replaced the two seals and the old O-ring looks like it was possibly bigger, or maybe coated with something that made it thicker?
I just want to get this back on the road again....

Is it very rusty like in the photo from the post before yours? You might want to check and see if the sealing surface is corroded. That could be the cause of the leak. The sealing surface should be clean and even. Normally, you don't need any RTV with the dealer o-ring and gasket. They should seal fine as long as the mating surface is clean.

Thank you for the vin numbers I’m trying to find a right tip stick tube originally the tip stick I bought from the dealer was a 96 camry one this is before I found out the engine was switch to a 92 5SFE engine end result the new dip stick showed too much oil in the block. When I was in a pick and pull salvage I notice a dip stick from a 95 Camry that looked longer and curved to the left that looked that it would solve the problem but I could not get it out of the block next time I go there I'll bring a propane torch to heat the block to hopefully remove it.

Will run you about $50 for both something to consider. Tube can be stupid hard to remove it's difficult to get leverage in the right place.

I think I already have the new dip stick and the tube number seems to curve to the left Found it on Toyotapartsdeal.com for 14.52 I'll call the dealership tomorrow to check their price and go from there.ThankYou again.Today I had to drill a hole thru the passenger wheel well to drill and tap the bottom alternator bracket bolt broken off in there that I wanted original It took me about a hour to get thru I used a 3/8 inch electric drill first then went to a 1/2 inch drill with a 7/8 countersink bit then a pencil grinder to widen the hole to 1 inch and smooth other obstacles down then used a 13/16 inch hog bit to go thru the other side of the frame 2 inches deep tomorrow I'll going to use a ten inch bit 3/8 inch in diameter to find center in broken bolt half then drill a pilot hole then measure the mm size bolt and pitch then buy the right drill and tap to do the work and install the bolt I already bought at the dealer.
