You traded an Acura TL for a base model Camry? What year was your TL?

I agree.
In the NYC metro area Camry's are hot sellers.
No big discounts.

2000 TL non-NAVI with 103K miles...I was going to need a timing belt pretty soon on this car ($850) ; the transmission was slipping - see www.acurazine.com ; people are bitched at the second generation TL with tranny issues ; I was fortunate all along, but the warranty was over and I was gettin' worried. The dealer said he was going to get me help ; even if he got me 75% help on a $4 grand tranny would have cost me another grand...this was a bad deal gettin' worse !! I thought it would be better to trade the TL.

Besides I didn't care for the expensive options...don't care for leather, sunroof and the other frills - have had too many cars with them, and have suffered enough depreciation I have had a few Accord EX-L's, Acura Legend and a TL - all gone with high mileage ; leaving me with not many $$$$ to speak of.

However, I am pretty happy with the CE.....surprisingly it is fairly loaded for the price !!!

Now you know....

07 SE I4, Super White, Moonroof, JBL, Bluetooth, Spoiler - $24,000. This was the only I4 SE on a dealer lot in the entire Chicagoland area. Every other inbound SE for the next 4-5 weeks to all dealers were already pre-sold - this made negotiating a bit hard.

The demand for the '07 Camry is going to be outrageous soon, what with all the advertising Toyota is doing. You can't pick up a magazine or watch a popular TV program without seeing an add for one of them. I predict the '07 Camry Hybrid will the car of the year 2007.:)
