Just bought a used 1997 Camry LE and I want to install a factory head unit with CD (came with casette only). What other years fit without any modifications? I want to look for a deal on Ebay or here too. Thanks!

Any of the Double Din ones (its the big units have tape and CD) you can get these out of the Camrys Tacoma and a few others.

I believe the only way to get the Cd is to get the the double din ones

Also aftermarket double din units will fit also, along with single j units.

All of our aftermarket units comes with everything you need including iring harness.

I recomend going aftermarket can you pull more power out of them plus you can add on amps and other stuff, where as the OEMs just have the plug and play for a cd changer.

If you got any uestions about A/V stuff for the camry PM me and i'll get back to ya

I plan on replacing the factory stereo in my 1997 Camry LE sometime soon. Would you be interested in buying it? I don't know how much trouble would be involved in the swap. I know these stereos require the 3-digit security code to reactivate them if they are removed from the car. I bought the car used & I don't have the code, but I took it to a dealer & he was able to reactivate it in 2 minutes.

Careful! The 2002/2003 radios changed, they're apparently larger than the older double-din ones by about 1/2" on each side. The unit itself is the same size, just the face of it is a tiny bit bigger. Not sure why, except maybe to make it harder for people to put aftermarket stuff in?
